How do you get around from CDG ?
Good to know
Charles de Gaulle Airport, also known as Roissy, is 25 km. north-east of central Paris. To avoid any confusion, make sure you know your departure or arrival terminal : 1, 2, or 3…
Departing from CDG
From the arrivals hall, look for clear airport signage marked ‘Gare’ or ‘Train station’ to guide you to the railway stations.
You’ll also find taxi stands and bus stops just outside the terminals. In addition to regular city and regional buses, special services—like hotel shuttles—depart from Terminals 2B–2D or Roissypole, near Terminal 3.
Train and bus tickets can be purchased in advance (recommended) through the Île-de-France Mobilités app.
Travelling by train
CDG Airport is a major hub for train travel, making it easily accessible by rail from across France. TGV trains provide long-distance service to destinations including Bordeaux, Brussels, Lyon, Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy (Disneyland), Strasbourg, and more.
For travel between CDG Airport and central Paris, take the RER B commuter train. It runs approximately every 10 minutes and serves other key destinations across the region, such as Parc des Expositions, Le Bourget, Stade de France, and more.
Travelling by bus
Local and regional services provide connections to destinations such as Paris (via Roissybus), surrounding suburbs, Disneyland Paris, and Parc Astérix.
Long-distance coaches also operate from the Roissypole bus station, linking the airport with major cities across France and beyond.
Travelling by taxi
When traffic conditions allow, taking a taxi is the most convenient and fastest way to reach your destination. Official taxi stands are located in front of the terminals. No surprises : fares between CDG and Paris are fixed. You can also book a private-hire car through your preferred app.
Going to Paris by public transport ?
By train
Hop on the RER Line B for a fast and affordable ride to the city. The journey takes 35-40 minutes between Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris-Gare du Nord or Châtelet–Les Halles, where you can connect to several other metro lines.
By bus
Roissybus shuttle is recommended. It offers a direct connection between all three terminals at Charles de Gaulle Airport and the Opéra district, right in the heart of the city, in about 60 minutes.
The cheapest option, Bus 350 or 351, can take you to the outskirts of Paris for the price of a standard Bus-Tram ticket. However, these local buses make numerous stops, have longer journey times, and do not offer dedicated luggage space.
Car rental
Pick up your rental car directly at CDG and hit the road with ease. Conveniently located near the A1 and A3 motorways, the airport offers quick access to all regions of France.
Parking, Pick-up and Drop-off
Coming by car and need to park while you’re away ? Choose and book the parking option that best suits your needs. Picking someone up or dropping them off ? Use the ′Dépose-minute′ zones for quick stops right in front of each terminal.
