Terminal 1 mainly serves flights operated by Star Alliance member airlines, such as Air China, Air India, All Nippon Airways, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Etihad, Eva Air, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Swiss, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines…
Terminal 1 is open daily during flight departure and arrival hours. At night, from 12:00am to 4:00am, access to the public area is restricted to passengers with a valid boarding pass. Please note that there are no designated areas for overnight stays.

Terminal 1 is made up of a circular central building with seven levels, connected to five satellite buildings dedicated to boarding and arrivals.

Departure
Check the information screens in the terminal to find your flight’s check-in area and boarding gate. Check-in for Halls 1-4 is on level 3; check-in for Halls 5-6 is on level 2.
After check-in and baggage drop-off, take the escalator up to the Boarding level.
You will need to go through a passport control for Non-Schengen flights and/or security before heading to the boarding gates.
Departing passenger
Arrival
Follow the Exit-Baggage signs upon arrival. If you are arriving on a non-Schengen flight, you will need to go through passport control. After collecting your baggage, you will pass through French Customs before entering the public arrivals area.
Visitors and passengers can meet at the baggage claim exit on the Arrivals level, nearby exit 36.
To reach other terminals and the TGV-RER train stations, take the CDGVAL automated shuttle located on level 2, accessible only by elevator from the Arrivals level.
Arriving passenger
From and to CDG
Terminal 1 is accessible by suburban train via the RER B station Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1, which is connected to the terminal by the automatic CDGVAL shuttle. Main line trains (TGV) serve the Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 station, also accessible via CDGVAL. Terminal 1 is also served by buses including Roissybus, RATP lines 350 and 351, night buses Noctilien N140 and N143, and Magical Shuttle (Disneyland).
A taxi stand is located on the Arrivals level, at exit 24. Pick-up for ride-hailing services such as Uber, Bolt, and Freenow take place on the Departures level, at exit 16.
Car Rental
Car rental desks (Europcar, Sixt, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Alamo, and more) at Terminal 1 can be found on the Arrivals level, between doors 24 and 30. They are typically open from 6am to 11pm.
Parking
Park your vehicle at P1, located directly inside the terminal. For long stays, the remote PR ECO car park – accessible via the CDGVAL shuttle train – is recommended.
If you are dropping someone off or picking someone up, use the Dépose-minute (Kiss & Fly) area in front of the departures hall.

The customs tax refund counter is open during flight departure and arrival hours. It is located before security, on the CDGVAL level, near Hall 6.
Shopping

The departure terminal for your flight is usually specified when you book your trip, and it is also indicated on your plane ticket or travel itinerary.

What time should I arrive at the airport for my departure ?
To ensure a stress-free departure, arrive at the airport well in advance :
■ Long-haul flights
3 hours before the scheduled departure time.
■ Domestic and medium-haul flights
90 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
If you already have your boarding pass and don’t have any checked baggage, you can arrive later at the airport by skipping the check-in counters.
Where can I meet someone at Charles de Gaulle Airport ?
Paris-Charles de Gaulle has several terminals, so make sure you know your departure or arrival terminal.
Meeting points are available in each terminal, either just outside the baggage claim area or near the “Paris Aéroport” counters.

Is Charles de Gaulle Airport open at night ?
The terminals’ landside areas remain open at night for passengers holding a ticket for an upcoming departing flight. However, there are no designated waiting areas or rest spaces for overnight stays.
Numerous hotels are located near the terminals or within close proximity to the airport.
Where can I rest and take a shower at Charles de Gaulle Airport ?
Some airlines offer private lounges where you can relax before or after your flight.
