Transportation to and from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

Charles de Gaulle Airport, also known as Roissy, is 25 km. north-east of central Paris. We’ve put together all the transport options for getting to and from CDG. You can travel by train, bus, taxi, or rental car. Alternatively, you can arrange for someone to pick you up or book a private transfer in advance.

Going to Paris by public transport

By train

Hop on the RER Line B for a fast and affordable ride to the city. The journey takes 35-40 minutes between Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris-Gare du Nord or Châtelet–Les Halles, where you can connect to several other metro lines.

By bus

Roissybus shuttle is recommended. It offers a direct connection between all three terminals at Charles de Gaulle Airport and the Opéra district, right in the heart of the city, in about 60 minutes.
The cheapest option, Bus 350 or 351, can take you to the outskirts of Paris for the price of a standard Bus-Tram ticket. However, these local buses make numerous stops, have longer journey times, and do not offer dedicated luggage space.

Traveling by train

CDG Airport is a major hub for train travel, making it easily accessible by rail from across France. TGV trains provide long-distance service to destinations including Bordeaux, Brussels, Lyon, Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy (Disneyland), Strasbourg, and more.

For travel between CDG Airport and central Paris, take the RER B commuter train. It runs approximately every 10 minutes and serves other key destinations across the region, such as Parc des Expositions, Le Bourget, Stade de France, and more.

Traveling by bus

Local and regional services provide connections to destinations such as Paris, surrounding suburbs, Disneyland Paris, and Parc Astérix.

Long-distance buses also operate from the Roissypole bus station, linking the airport with major cities across France and beyond.

Traveling by taxi

When traffic conditions allow, taking a taxi is the most convenient and fastest way to reach your destination. Official taxi stands are located in front of the terminals. No surprises : fares between CDG and Paris are fixed. You can also book a private-hire car through your preferred app (e.g. Bolt, Uber).

Going to Orly Airport and Paris train stations

Orly Airport

If you are in transit and need to travel between CDG and ORLY airports, take the RER B and Metro line 14. Please note that there is no longer a bus connection between the two airports.
