How to Transfer
CDG Airport has three terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2 (with sub-terminals 2A–2G), and Terminal 3. Transfers within the same terminal are usually on foot, while transfers between terminals require walking, shuttle buses, or the CDGVAL automated train.
Note: You cannot walk directly between Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
Travel within the Schengen area
When traveling between Schengen countries, there are no border controls.
Travel outside the Schengen area
If you are traveling to or from a country outside the Schengen Area, you must pass through border control.

➔ If you are already checked in with an onward boarding pass (no baggage to collect):
You can remain airside and transfer directly to your next gate.
Step 1.
After leaving the aircraft, follow the yellow signs marked ‘Transfer’. They will guide you through your connection.
Step 2.
Consult the departure board to check the terminal and gate for your onward flight.
Step 3.
Proceed to your gate by following the appropriate signs.
Step 4.
Go through Security and Immigration – if required.
➔ If you need to check in (no onward boarding pass or baggage to collect):
You must leave the airside area and proceed landside to complete check-in and security before continuing to your next flight.
Step 1.
Follow the ‘Baggage-Exit’ signs after disembarking the aircraft.
Step 2.
Look at the screens to find out which terminal your onward flight departs from.
Step 3.
Pick up bags, Exit through Customs.
Step 4.
Proceed to the appropriate terminal and check-in desk.
Step 5.
Go to your gate via Security and Immigration – if required.
