COVID-19 Essential information

National lockdown

The French Government has announced a second national lockdown from 30 October.

During this time, you can not travel overseas or within France, unless for work, education or other legally permitted reasons.
You will need an attestation (or self-certificate) when you do go out (including to-from the airport).
The attestation is available on the Ministry of Interior website, and through the digital app ‘Tous anti-Covid.’

At the airport

  • All operations have been moved to terminals 2A, 2E and 2F.

  • Only passengers, as well as people accompanying children traveling alone or under 18, people accompanying passengers with disabilities or vulnerable people, can access the terminals.

  • Mandatory face coverings (surgical masks only) for all passengers over the age of 11, inside and outside the terminals, and on board aircraft.

  • Most shops are closed except food and beverage outlets (take-away), pharmacies, bureaux de change, car rental offices, Relay bookstores.

  • A temperature screening system has been set up on departure and arrival.
    If your temperature is above 38°C, you will be invited to proceed to a medical visit and a COVID-19 test.

  • Maintain 1.5-metres of distance from one another.

Travel information

Internal European borders will remain open but external borders are closed except for essential travel.

  • You must present a Declaration of Honor stating that you do not have symptoms of COVID-19.
    This document is required for all air travel, regardless the destination, and must be given to your airline when boarding.

  • Before travelling abroad to or from Paris, we invite you to contact the competent authorities (embassy, consulate, airline) to check if specific measures and COVID-19 test are required.
    Consult the France Diplomatie information website or the reopen.europa site for your intra-EU trips.

  • Passengers are denied boarding if they are prohibited from entering the country of destination.

  • All flights (except French domestic flights) are controlled by the Border Police (PAF) on arrival.

Connecting at Paris-CDG

Paris-CDG airport is open and welcome all transit passengers (including non-europeans).

You must get tested before traveling if a COVID-19 test is required by your final destination country.
Passengers are denied boarding if they are prohibited from entering the country of destination.

If you change to a connecting flight to France or a Schengen country, you will be subject to French entry policy.

COVID-19 testing center

Before travelling abroad France, passengers can be tested at Paris-CDG airport (not available for transit passengers).

Appointments are required and must be made online on the doctolib.fr website (in French).
Proceed at terminal 2E (before security), Departure level, Exit 17d, you must take your flight ticket to your appointment.

Passengers will be guaranteed a result within 48 hrs for an RT-PCR test and within 2 hrs maximum for an antigen test.
The Covid-19 testing must be carried out before check-in at the airport.
